Pledge
President James Stewart called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm
with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call:
Roll call indicated that
Trustees Michael Parker and James Stewart were present, Trustee Scott Leber was
absent. Also present was Phillip David, Fiscal Officer/Zoning Inspector and Road
Superintendent David Kelley.
Minutes
Mr. Parker moved to approve the minutes for the
October 20th, 2022 meeting, Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. Roll was
called, with all present answering yes, motion to accept the minutes was
approved.
Guests
Oxford Township resident Nick Speer was present
at the meeting.
Zoning Report:
Mr. David
reported that he had issued a permit to Edward Ohlemacher, 5002 West Mason Road,
Sandusky, Ohio for a free-standing sign.
Road
Superintendent:
Mr.
Kelley reported that they had done some crack sealing in Margretta Township and
were scheduled, weather permitting, to come to Oxford Township and finish crack
sealing here. He said hopefully he was going to finish the road side mowing for
the last time this next couple weeks.
Mr.
Kelley reported that he had serviced the Freightliner Truck getting it ready for
the winter season ahead.
Trustees:
Mr. Leber –
was absent.
Mr.
Parker
– reported that the Erie County Township Association Christmas Dinner will be
held at Quarry Hill Winery, Berlin Heights, Ohio, on December 8, 2022 beginning
at 6:00 pm.
Mr. Stewart
– reported that he had approached
several area contractors about installing the inside wall in the new building
dividing off one bay from the rest of the building. This bay will be insulated
and coated with metal siding on the inside and heated so it could be used for
working on the road equipment or to keep equipment warm during the harsh winter
months.
Mr. Stewart
questioned whether anyone was planning on going to the Ohio Township Association
Winter Conference. After some discussion, Mr. Stewart moved that anyone going to
the Township Convention, that room and meal expenses be paid by the Township,
Mr. Parker seconded the motion. Roll was called, with all present voting yes,
motion carried.
Fiscal Officer
Mr. David reported that the
cost of providing the electric for the emergency sirens continues to rise, he
said when the sirens was first installed it would cost $35.00 a month for both
sirens. He said this past month the electric cost for both sirens was $178.89.
Mr. David said on top of that the Township was responsible for upkeep should the
sirens need repair.
There was discussion, Mr.
Parker moved that cost for the sirens be taken out of the Fire and Rescue,
Ambulance and EMS Fund, Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. Roll was called, with
all those present answering yes; motion carried.

New Business:
Mr. Parker moved to pay the
bills in the amount of $10,043.79, Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. Roll was
called, with all present answering yes; motion carried.
