CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Mike Parker called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Chairman Mike Parker led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
Trustees Parker, Miller, Leber, and Fiscal Officer Melissa Pelletier are present. Road Superintendent Andy Dunlap could not be present today.
MINUTES:
Minutes were sent out electronically before the meeting for approval.
Motion
Mr. Leber moved to approve the minutes, and Mr. Miller seconded the motion. A verbal vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.
GUESTS:
Fire Chief Kerry Jett spoke about the upcoming contract with Groton Township; the trustees agreed that the new contract is reasonable. The new contract is for three years and adds a 3% yearly increase.
ZONING INSPECTOR:
Mr. Parker gave the zoning report per Zoning Inspector Dunlap’s written report:
Variance Meeting:
The board approved the Fowler Case to build a building before a residence.
ROAD SUPERINTENDENT:
Mr. Parker gave the road report per Zoning Inspector Dunlap’s written report:
-Crack Sealing Has Started on Various Roads in the township with the help of Margeretta Township.
-The salt order for the 2025 season is due and needs a signature on it so I can return it
- Septic inspection was done at 11104 Ransom Rd. ( Township Building) the report was sent, and everything seems to work as it should.
TRUSTEES
Trustee Parker:
All trustees and fiscal officer must complete fraud education.
Mr. Leber:
Inspecting the township’s fire equipment, such as extinguishers, is near completion. Mr. Leber saved the township money using Superior from Norwalk, Ohio, company. The cost of the equipment inspection was cut in half this year compared to fiscal year 2023.
The township’s new Civista Cards should arrive soon, easing the burden on the road superintendent when purchasing items.
It still needs to be determined whether the township received reimbursements from the insurance company for the generator.
Mr. Miller
Mr. Miller spoke about the picnic tables. The trustees have decided to advertise them in the upcoming newsletter.
FISCAL OFFICER –
New medical cards have been issued for trusty Miller and FO Pelletier; they should arrive soon.
The Fiscal officer provided photos of office furniture to trustees.
COMMUNICATIONS:
There are no communications from Sherrif Sigsworth.

Trustees approved the estimate for the new township sign for $848.52.
Trustees approved the estimate for new office furniture at $5971.00

Mr. Leber motioned to approve the Oxford Township sign estimate for $848.52 with a second from Mr. Miller. The motion was carried out after a unanimous vote.
