Pledge
President Michael Parker called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roll Call:
Roll call indicated that all Trustees were present, also present was Phillip
David Fiscal Officer/Zoning Inspector, and Road Superintendent David Kelley.
Minutes:
There were no minutes to approve.
Guests:
No guest was present.
Zoning Report:
Mr. David reported that he had issued 3 permits since the last meeting;

Road Superintendent
Mr. Kelley reported that he had been mowing road
sides this past week before they start asphalting work. Mr. Kelley said that
Margretta had hired Terri Meyer as a part-time driver during asphalt season. He
said when they start asphalting work on Thomas Road he would like to hire her to
drive truck. He said Margretta is currently paying her $16.50 an hour. Mr.
Stewart moved to hire Ms. Meyer at the going rate of $16.50 to drive truck for
Oxford Township, Mr. Leber seconded the motion. Roll was called, with all
present voting yes; motion carried. Mr. Kelley said he would see that Mr. David
got the necessary paperwork so he could pay her.
There was discussion that Mr. Kelley had been buying
lunches for the drivers and crew when they were working in Oxford Township. Mr.
Stewart moved that the Township credit card be used to buy any lunches purchased
while working in Oxford Township, Mr. Leber seconded the motion. Roll was
called, with all present voting yes; motion carried.
Trustees;
Mr. Leber
said after reviewing the bill for repairs
made to the Caterpillar backhoe he had contacted Ohio Cat about the charges on
the bill. He said the Service Manager was going to review the bill and there
might be a possible discount or correction to the bill coming back to the
Township.
Mr.
Parker
reported that he had talked with Tim Lloyd at the County Engineers office about
the stimulus funding for infrastructure work that could be done in Oxford
Township. He said Mr. Lloyd was putting together a list of possible culvert,
bridge and road upgrades that could be done with the stimulus monies.
Mr. Stewart reviewed the list of supplies for the “Meet Your Local Fireman” being
held Saturday August 21st. Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks, ice cream,
it was suggested that the Township purchase a small freezer to be put in the
fire bay to store any left-over supplies. Mr. Leber moved to purchase the
freezer and supplies for the fire event, Mr. Stewart seconded the motion. Roll
was called, with all present voting yes; motion carried. Mr. Stewart said he
would see that everything was purchased and on hand for the event.

David reminded the Trustees that employee reviews were normally done in July.

Communications were reviewed.

Business:
Mr. Stewart moved to pay the bills in the
amount of $17,003.18 Mr. Leber seconded motion. Roll was called, with all
present voting yes; motion carried.
No further business to discuss, the meeting
was adjourned.
