Resident Clark Garris was present and stated he attended the meeting as he was interested in applying for the township trustee position created by Mr. Stewart’s retirement effective March 1.ZONING INSPECTOR: – absent due to illness, no report, however one request for permit received at the office by road superintendent. The request was by Fred Fowler for erection of a pole building on Patten Tract Rd. Mr. Fowler had previously discussed the permit application with Mr. David and was in no hurry so he would await Mr. David’s return to his office.
ROAD SUPERINTENDENT:
Mr. Dunlap stated that the total billing for the paver repairs came in underestimate with the final bill being $3247 for each township for tires, material, and machining of drive shaft.
Mr. Dunlap reported that he and Erie County Highway Department personnel had jetted the road tile along the east side of Thomas Rd. from the church south to the ditch and had reached all but about 100 ft of the tile. They pulled more stone and debris to the south and the cleanout at the north end was now clear and drained.
He also worked with the county crew to clear a road tile at Lohman’s woods on the east side of Livengood Rd. They found a large root ball in the tile that had required excavation. The tile now appears to flow freely.
TRUSTEES
SCOTT LEBER – Mr. Leber reported that he is seeking bids for the covering of the concrete block walls on the north, south, and west side of the township building. Trustees had noted previously that cracks in the block joints, even though recently caulked, still must be allowing moisture into the walls that are filled with insulation. The walls continue to hold moisture causing the paint in the meeting room to flake.

Mr. Leber and Mr. Parker went into executive session for about 10 minutes. Mr. Leber moved to come out of executive session, with a second by Mr. Parker. Mr. Parker moved to increase Mr. Dunlap’s hourly wage to $27.65 per hr. based on 3.2% cost of living increase and additional increase for performance and savings to the township for performing mechanical repairs to paver, 2002 dump truck turbo, pavilion improvement etc. Mr. Leber provided a second and the motion carried.
