CALL TO ORDER:
Trustee Brian Miller called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
Brian Miller led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL:
Trustees Leber, Miller, and Parker, along with Road Superintendent Andy Dunlap, were present at roll call. Officer Pelletier was also present.
MINUTES:
Fiscal Officer Pelletier electronically distributed the minutes for approval prior to the meeting.
Motion
Mr. Parker moved to approve the minutes, and Mr. Leber seconded. A verbal vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.
GUESTS:
No guests were present.
ZONING INSPECTOR
Zoning Inspector Dunlap reported that at the zoning appeals board meeting on March 26, 2026, at 6:30, an accessory structure was approved.
A township resident was issued a certified letter regarding trash removal.
ROAD SUPERINTENDENT:
Road Superintendent Dunlap installed four basins.
A burial will be held on April 9, 2026. Margaretta is sending someone to assist Mr. Dunlap.
Mr. Dunlap informs the board that an appointment with Fremont Fence is scheduled for April 20, 2026. Fremont Fence offers fences made from recycled materials, which may qualify for the Recycle Materials Grant.
TRUSTEES
Trustee Leber:
The risk management assessment for Otarma is scheduled for April 24, 2026.
Trustee Miller:
Mr. Miller is following up on the survey of a township property. Contractors Design Engineering quoted $2870 +/-, with completion expected in 6-8 weeks.
Apex has submitted the plans for road tiling.
Trustee Parker:
Trustee Parker has been appointed to a committee that will handle the additional funds the County receives from Sports Force. Grants will be available to townships for infrastructure projects.
FISCAL OFFICER:
Fiscal Officer Pelletier is discussing plans with Madlyn Thayer regarding Zoning Board member paperwork.
Miss. Thayer was also informed that meeting notices no longer need to be submitted to the Sandusky Register. They can now be posted on our website and the township’s Facebook page.
COMMUNICATIONS:
No communications from Sheriff Sigsworth aside from the monthly calls.
OLD BUSINESS :
NEW BUSINESS:
A special meeting needs to be scheduled to approve the grant paperwork and the quote for the shelter house because the deadline is approaching.
The Board wants to continue purchasing road salt through Erie County rather than entering into a state contract. The county offers better rates.
The board would like to explore whether the township might be eligible for a grant from the Erie County Land Bank to help pay for clearing property in Kimball. Mr. Parker agreed to review eligibility with the Erie County Land Bank Director.
A township resident contacted the board about a Wood Road culvert replacement, during which a larger tile will be installed. The Erie County Highway Department will perform the replacement if the township trustees agree. The resident is paying for drainage improvements on private property from Patten Tract Rd. to the culvert.
A data center presentation for trustees and a landowner is scheduled for April 15 at 1:30 at the Holiday Inn Express in Avery.

Mr. Leber moved to approve a survey to be conducted on a township property by Contractors Design Engineering, quoted at $2870 +/-, with the motion seconded by Mr. Parker. The motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Leber moved to approve the culvert replacement on Wood Rd, seconded by Mr. Parker, with the Erie County Highway Department. The motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Leber moved to pay all Oxford Township bills, seconded by Mr. Parker. The motion passed unanimously.

Mr. Parker moved to adjourn, and Mr. Leber seconded the motion. The motion was approved unanimously.
